UAE and Saudi Arabia withdrew from negotiations on the purchase of Russian S-400

Russian air defense missile systems S-400 will no longer be supplied to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Despite the rather great interest of the UAE in the purchase of the S-400 air defense system, and some interest of Saudi Arabia in these Russian complexes, it became known that both countries of the Middle East withdrew from negotiations on the acquisition of Russian weapons. According to the available report, the UAE and Saudi Arabia have begun negotiations with Israel for the supply of the Iron Dome air defense / missile defense systems, which, as it is emphasized, have successfully proven themselves in the defeat of aircraft, drones and missiles.

“With the world seeing a remarkable normalization of diplomatic relations between the Gulf countries and Israel, many countries in the Middle East are now interested in buying Israeli air defense systems,” the Israeli newspaper's website reported. While there is still time to establish "full trust" between these countries, a new report says many Gulf states are interested in acquiring Israel's Iron Dome air defense system. It is already known that the UAE and Saudi Arabia are interested in these powerful systems. Saudi Arabia has undergone multiple drone attacks on its critical facilities in response to its actions in Yemen. Houthi drone and missile attacks have caused extensive damage to its oil fields and pipelines. And the Iron Dome might be the right solution for that. Israel's missile defense systems are considered the best systems in the world. The Barak-8 missile, developed jointly with India, is designed to protect against all types of air threats, including aircraft, helicopters, anti-ship missiles and UAVs, as well as ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and combat aircraft. ", - about it сообщает information publication "EurasianTimes".

It should be noted that despite the previously expressed interest of the UAE in Russian air defense / missile defense systems, now no information is given on this score, which, by the way, may be due to the desire of the UAE and Saudi Arabia to receive American F-35 fighters, and with the purchase of C -400 it won't be possible.

The report also called the Zionist leadership to improve ties with the United States and the ‘moderate’ Arab countries.
Maariv newspaper pointed that what must frighten the Israelis is that Hezbollah has started to consider the quality, not the quantity, of his rocketry power, adding that the Resistance fighters have gained the skills and capabilities missed by Zionist elite troops.

Hypocritical Mideast states serving Israel’s interests: Larijani

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani has lashed out at some regional countries that created and are fueling the crises in the Middle East, saying such hypocritical states are serving the Israeli regime’s interests.
“The crises created in the region revealed the hypocritical face of some regional countries and showed that their policy is in line with helping terrorism and serving the interests of the Zionist regime (of Israel),” Larijani said in a meeting with Iraqi Vice President Nouri al-Maliki in Tehran on Tuesday.
He added that national unity among various political groups in Iraq played a leading role in the country’s recent victories against terrorism.
Larijani hailed the recent achievements of the Iraqi armed forces and fighters of Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), also known as Hashd al-Sha’abi, in the battle against terrorism in the northern city of Mosul.

On October 17, Iraqi army soldiers, supported by Hashd al-Sha’abi and Kurdish Peshmerga forces, launched a joint operation to retake Mosul from Daesh terrorists.
After a two-week lull, Iraqi troops launched the second phase of a major operation to retake Mosul on December 29, pushing deeper into the eastern of the city in a multi-pronged assault.
Staff Lieutenant General Abdulwahab al-Saadi, a top commander in Iraq’s Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS), said on Sunday that the government forces continue to make advances in their joint operations with pro-government fighters to liberate Mosul from the grip of Daesh terrorists and managed to establish control over more than 60 percent of the eastern side of the strategic northern city.
Larijani also said the Iraqi parliament’s approval of a law to give full legal status to fighters from the PMU has created new capacities, which can contribute to the establishment of stability and help the fight against terrorism.
He added that the Iranian Parliament “supports any move in line with the restoration of stability and security in Iraq.”
Iraq’s Council of Representatives on November 26, 2016 voted in support of a legislation which recognizes Hashd al-Sha’abi as part of the national armed forces, places the volunteer fighters under the command of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, and grants them the right to receive salaries and pensions just like the regular army and police.
‘Iran supports genuine fight against terror’
The Iraqi vice president, for his part, hailed Iran’s principled stance on regional issues, particularly the crises in Iraq and Syria.
Maliki added that the Islamic Republic’s policies have always been based on support for resistance and a real fight against terrorism.
He said enhanced cooperation between Iran and Iraq in economic, political and security sectors can lead to the settlement of regional issues.
The former Iraqi prime minister also criticized some countries’ stances on the ongoing developments in the Middle East and said all plots hatched by Turkey and Saudi Arabia to partition Iraq and Syria have been thwarted.
Maliki arrived in Tehran on Saturday to hold talks with senior Iranian officials. He met with Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior adviser to Leader of the Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Sayyed Imam Ali Khamenei, and Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani earlier on Tuesday.

Zionist Egyptian regime destroys 12 tunnels at Gaza borders

Zionist-puppet Egyptian forces declared on Monday the destruction of 12 new tunnels at the borders with Gaza during the period from 18th – 28th December 2016.
The army spokesman, Colonel Tamer al-Rifai, said in a statement on his Facebook page that the border guards managed to destroy 12 tunnels on the borderline in North Sinai province.
In mid-September 2015, the Egyptian army began to pump large quantities of sea water along the borderline between Egypt and the Gaza Strip to destroy the tunnels. The measure came in conjunction with military operations conducted in North Sinai province and the Egyptian Rafah city against gunmen attacking Egyptian security and military bases.
The tunnels phenomena significantly emerged after the blockade the Israeli occupation imposed on the Gaza Strip in 2006. The tunnels were primarily aimed at importing badly needed goods and foodstuffs into Gaza

200 thousand worshipers perform Friday prayers at al-Aqsa

Zionist Israeli regime have imposed new restrictions on Palestinian worshipers arriving from the occupied West Bank to perform Friday prayers in al-Aqsa mosque.
Only 200 thousand worshipers were managed to attend the third Friday prayers during the holy month of Ramadan at al-Aqsa mosque due to the Israeli new restrictions, Sheikh Azzam Khatib, director general of the Islamic Waqf in occupied Jerusalem said.
Since the early morning hours, Israeli police forces have been heavily deployed in the vicinity of al-Aqsa mosque and the Old City.
During the sermon, Khatib hailed the worshipers’ strong determination and brave will in challenge of Israeli tight restrictions.
The Islamic Waqf in occupied Jerusalem has earlier stated that 350 thousand worshipers attended Friday prayers last week after Israel announced at the beginning of Ramadan that women of all ages and men over 40 from the West Bank would be allowed to pray at al-Aqsa Mosque.
Ramadan often offers a rare opportunity for Palestinians to visit occupied Jerusalem and al-Aqsa mosque, which for Muslims represents the world’s third holiest site, as entry to the city remains strictly limited during rest of the year.

Hamas slams PA arrest campaign against its cadres in W. Bank

The Hamas Movement has condemned the Palestinian Authority (PA) for its frenzied arrest campaign against its cadres in the West Bank, accusing it of attempting to stop the growing resistance activities against the Israeli occupation.
Hamas spokesman Husam Badran stated in a press release on Thursday that the PA security apparatuses moved at the behest of the Israeli occupation to curb the escalating resistance operations in the West Bank, especially after the latter recently accused Hamas of being behind most of the attacks.
Badran said that the current arrest campaign vindicated further the PA security apparatuses’ subjugation to the Israeli occupation.
He held PA chief Mahmoud Abbas fully responsible for what he described as the acts of repression and terrorism practiced by his security agencies against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.
The Hamas spokesman urged all national factions and political forces to state their positions clearly against such acts, which he said are “tearing apart the Palestinian national fabric.”
