7 Palestinians kidnapped in predawn W.Bank campaign by Zionist Israel

At least seven Palestinian civilians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) across cities of the West Bank at predawn time on Thursday.
Hebrew media outlets quoted the Israeli army spokesperson as stating that seven Palestinians were arrested in various parts of the West Bank on pretext of involvement in anti-occupation activities and affiliations with Hamas.
The arrests reportedly took place in the West Bank provinces of Ramallah, Tulkarem, Bethlehem, and al-Khalil.
The arrestees have been referred to Israeli security agencies pending further interrogation.
The Israeli occupation has stepped up its quasi-daily search-and-arrest campaigns in various parts of the West Bank in pursuit of allegedly “wanted” Palestinians.
Meanwhile, a PIC news reporter said the IOF abducted the university student Khaled Usfur from al-Khalil’s town of Dura after they broke into his family home and ravaged it at the crack of dawn.
The detainee was dragged to the Gush Etzion detention center for further investigation.

Rights group denies hunger-striking Adnan has died

Head of the Palestinian Prisoner Society, Fares Qaddoura, on Sunday denied claims that the Palestinian hunger-striking detainee Khader Adnan, starving for 48 days running, has died.
The Prisoner Society quoted its lawyer Jawad Boulos as stating, following contacts held with the head of the Assaf Harofeh hospital, that Adnan’s health has not undergone any changes.
Lawyer Boulos also spoke by phone to the judicial adviser of the Israeli prison administration who denied Adnan’s death but confirmed reports on his critical health condition.
The Society called on the Palestinian masses to urgently react in support of Adnan’s cause
The group warned of an imminent death to befall hunger-striking Khader Adnan sometime soon if no serious steps are made to save his life before it is too late.

Terrorist israel wages major bid to ward off BDS boycott campaign

As the global anti-Israel protest campaign Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement gains momentum, the Israeli regime has launched a major bid against the movement and its threat of economic sanctions targeting Israel.
Even Israeli opposition leaders recently joined the regime’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in waging diplomatic and economic war against the BDS, a growing coalition of Palestinian and international institutions and groups that Tel Aviv claims is “inherently anti-Semitic” and bent on its termination, the US-based Defense News reported Friday.
According to the report, even Israeli military firms, led by Elbit Systems, are bracing for international protests against their products, trade partners and subsidiaries as Tel Aviv struggles with its push to undermine the movement and its anti-Israeli boycott campaign.
BDS has already claimed credit for prompting Barclays Bank and Norway’s pension fund to divest from Elbit stocks as wells as cancelling a small research satellite project with an Elbit subsidiary in Brazil and for causing disruptions at three Elbit factories or subsidiary facilities in Europe.
To mark the anniversary of last summer’s Israeli military onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip, the movement in calling for a mass protest rally on July 6 at UAV Engines, an Elbit subsidiary near the British city of Birmingham.
Nearly a dozen organizations, the report added, are promoting the upcoming protest event, which is due to begin in a bid to disrupt workers about to start their shifts.
“Groups and campaigners from across the UK are going back to Elbit’s factory to demand that the UK stop arming Israel,” said a group called Block the Factory in an advertisement on its Facebook page.
In addition to urging a military embargo on the Israeli regime, the BDS is also targeting Elbit and other contractors for providing intrusion detection systems as well as other devices used to bolster Israel’s so-called ‘security barrier’ around the West Bank.
Other firms targeted by the movement for what it describes as their support for Israel’s “apartheid wall,” include Magal Security Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries’ Tamam division and Controp Precision Technologies.
Initiated as a grassroots movement in 2005, BDS aims to use economic sanctions to end Israel’s occupation of disputed territories captured in 1967, dismantle the separation barrier raised around the West Bank including East al-Quds (Jerusalem) and promote the right of return for Palestinian refugees forced out from their native land by Israeli forces in 1948 as part of efforts to establish Israel.

alestinian group claims responsibility for attack on Israeli settlers

A Palestinian group purportedly linked to the military wing of Hamas resistance movement has taken responsibility for a shooting attack on two Israeli men in the occupied West Bank, in which one died and another sustained gunshot wounds.
The group, calling itself the Marwan Kawasme and Amer Abu Aysha Squad and claiming affiliation with Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, said in a statement on Friday that it was behind the attack near the illegal settlement of Dolev, located 27 kilometers (17 miles) northwest of al-Quds (Jerusalem), earlier in the day, Ma’an news agency reported.
The statement added that Palestinian fighters had been closely watching over the area, and carried out the ambush on the settlers’ car after ascertaining that the occupants were Israeli citizens.
The group further said that the fighters returned to their bases following the shooting, and that the operation was in memory of Kawasme and Abu Aysha, whom Israeli military forces gunned down in al-Khalil (Hebron) last September on alleged charges of the abduction and murder of three Israeli teenagers.
The Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades has not made any comments on the shooting and the group’s assertions.
Israeli forces and settlers regularly engage in violence against Palestinians in the occupied territories.
More than half a million Israelis live in over 120 settlements built since Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories of the West Bank, including East Jerusalem al-Quds, in 1967.
Settlers, mostly armed, regularly attack Palestinian villages and farms and set fire to their mosques, olive groves and other properties in the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli settlements are considered illegal by much of the international community because the territories were captured by the Israeli regime in a war in 1967 and are hence subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbid construction on occupied lands.

Serious deterioration in Khader Adnan’s health condition

The health situation of the prisoner Khader Adnan has seriously deteriorated as he continues his hunger strike for 45 consecutive days protesting his administrative detention, rights group said.
Head of the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) Jawad Boulos said that Israeli officials asked him late Thursday to urgently come to Assaf Harofeh Hospital as Adana’s health situation has sharply deteriorated.
Adnan was vomiting along the visit hours and unable to speak loudly, while his right hand is still tied to the bed, Boulos said. He lost many of his weight.
Israeli authorities suggested to “improve Adnan’s detention conditions” in Assaf Harofeh Hospital if he accepts to conduct medical tests. However, Adnan refused the Israeli offer and continued to only drink water without taking any vitamins.
Along the past few hours, a number of Israeli figures have visited Adnan in the hospital including head of Israeli Medical Association and members of Physicians for Human Rights.
In the same context, Jihad-affiliated prisoners held in Nafha prison affirmed that an Israeli senior official informed them that Khader Adnan suffers significant health deterioration as he refuses to conduct any medical tests or to take vitamins.
An Israeli medical delegation has visited Adnan in an attempt to “convince” him to undergo the medical tests, however he refused, the prisoners quoted the Israeli official as saying.
37-year-old Palestinian detainee Khader Adnan Musa has been on an open-ended hunger-strike for the 45th day running in protest at being held administratively, with neither charge nor trial, in the Israeli occupation jails.
Adnan, a father of six children, was arrested near Jenin in July during an Israeli arrest campaign across the West Bank. He is one of many former prisoners re-arrested and incarcerated for unclear reasons.
Along the same line, the newly released Lina Khatib said that Palestinian female prisoners suffer catastrophic detention conditions as they are subjected to tough torture and ill-treatment at the hands of Israeli jailers.
Palestinian female prisoners are subjected to human rights violations, she stressed.
Khatib also pointed to the suffering they face while being transferred via “Bosta”, a transport vehicle in which the prisoner is shackled to a metal chair in the back.
The Bosta is not air conditioned, does not have open windows, and temperature inside it reaches extremely high levels. It is a particularly dangerous experience for older or ill prisoners.
Khatib was released last week from Israeli jails after being arrested on December 13, 2014 for participating in a peaceful march outside Ofer prison.

Mystery surrounds Bekaa drone crash A pro-Hezbollah daily reported the downed aircraft was most likely Syrian.

BEIRUT – Mystery has swirled over the downing of a drone in the Bekaa after Cyrillic letters were found on a piece of the wreckage and a pro-Hezbollah daily indicated the aircraft was Syrian.

An explosion reverberated between the town of Saghbine and Mount Barouk on Sunday, with Lebanon’s state National News Agency reporting that the blast was caused by the crash of an unknown aircraft. A security source told AFP that “an Israeli airstrike was launched this morning to destroy one of their drones that crashed in the mountains outside Saghbine.” However, other media accounts cast doubt over whether Israel had struck the remote area of the Bekaa valley while Cyrillic inscriptions found in the wreckage raised further questions. In its initial report on the incident, Hezbollah’s Al-Manar television denied that Israel had conducted a raid on the crash site.

Then, on Tuesday morning, a Lebanese pro-Hezbollah newspaper reported that the aircraft had been downed by an Israeli jet conducting mock raids over Lebanon’s Hasbaya. However, the report claimed that the drone had been Syrian. “The plane was probably a Syrian aircraft that had been observed over Mount Hermon in the de-militarized zone above Mount Hermon and Quneitra's villages which are currently seeing clashes between armed groups and the regime,” Al-Akhbar said.

In turn, Lebanese daily Al-Joumhouria reported Monday that the Lebanese Armed Forces “did not observe any Israeli warplanes breaching Lebanese air space and carrying out a raid in the Saghbine area after the crash of the supposed reconnaissance plane.” The article added that the Lebanese army investigation of the wreckage “has not ascertained whether it was an Israeli plane, because the LAF is continuing its investigations, which are being carried out by specialist aviation officers.” The newspaper noted that the investigators had found “wreckage and very small metal fragments, with one of them bearing two Cyrillic letters.” Al-Hayat spoke with a high-level security source on the investigation and the mystery over the Cyrillic letters.

“Investigations are focusing on three possibilities, in order to reach practical results that cannot be doubted,” he explained. “The fragment on which Russian inscriptions were found could either be part of the plane or the remains of a Russian-made missile that was fired at it.” “The committee has been able to precisely define [the plane’s] crash site,” the source added, saying that the investigators had to reach the site via an army helicopter due to its remoteness. “The committee will reach a conclusion on the identity of the plane, [which] remains unknown. Then it will ascertain whether [the plane] was [used for] military or reconnaissance [purposes].” An Israeli aviation expert voiced his doubt in an interview with The Telegraph that the downed plane was an Israeli drone. “I think the whole issue is not about Israel at all,” Tal Inbar told the British daily. Inbar, who is the head of Space and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles at Israel’s Fisher Brothers Institute for Air and Space Strategic Studies, also suggested that pictures of the wreckage circulated by Lebanese media outlets do not resemble an Israeli drone.

Israeli Circles Confirm Cooperation between Zionist Entity, Nusra Front

Israeli military and media circles confirmed that cooperation between the Zionist entity and Nusra Front, al-Qaeda offshoot in Syria, is rising near the occupied Golan.
Israeli Channel 10 reported that the occupation army asked the Nusra Front to halt its attack on the small Druze town of Hadar, noting that the Takfiri group responded to the Israeli demand.
Meanwhile, media circles justified the attack of the terrorist group on Hadar, saying that the southern town supports the Syrian government and that it represents point of departure for resistance attacks against the Israeli occupation forces.
“Druze in Hadar town back (President) Bashar al-Assad, and this is well known. Thus, Nusra front want to settle their account with them,” Israeli expert in Arab-Israeli conflict, Hazi Simantov told the Israeli channel 10.
For his part, Ore Heller, an Israeli military expert, warned against Druze appeals to save them from Nusra terrorists.
“We have to warn against appeals by Duze… as if al-Qaeda will commit genocide against them. They are in their villages in northern Golan, they back Assad and they don’t like Zionists,” Heller told the Israeli channel, noting that Samir al-Qintar “was touring these villages” to offer support and “recruit” their residents to operate against Israel.
Meanwhile, the Middle East expert Eyal Zisser confirmed there were contact between the Zionist entity and Nusra Front, in a bid to “organize relations on border” between the two sides.
Furthermore, Zisser accused residents of Hadar of staging attacks against the Zionist entity.

Gaza-bound flotilla prepares to set sail

A number of vessels aiming to carry pro-Palestinian activists to the besieged Gaza Strip are preparing to set sail in a bid to break a long Israeli blockade on the impoverished coastal enclave.
Members of the Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) in the Italian city of Palermo say they are close to setting sail and expect to reach Gaza before the end of the month.
Representatives of the third aid flotilla to Gaza say the ships will be carrying small amounts of medical supplies and aid such as solar panels, as the main goal of the flotilla, which involves at least three boats, is to break the Israeli blockade.
“Our aim is to end the siege of Gaza. We want the Palestinians to know that we haven’t forgotten about them. There are many crises in the world, but the situation in Gaza is also really bad, and we do remember them,” activist Kalle Ohlsson said.
They say they are seeking to open Gaza’s port and allow freedom of movement and trade.
The Swedish Gaza-bound Marianne of Gothenburg is also expected to join the other ships in Palermo after it left Sweden for the Mediterranean back in early May.
The activists also voiced concern over their safety after reaching international waters, referring to a deadly attack by Israeli navy forces against the Turkish Mavi Marmara ship, part of the first aid flotilla, back in 2010, which left 10 activists dead.
“We’re very concerned about safety. We have a strict non-violence policy. We’re hoping Israel won’t use violence against us,” Ohlsson added.
The second Freedom Flotilla, Stay Human, had planned to break the siege on Gaza by sailing to the strip on July 5, 2011. However, it was faced with opposition from the United States and a number of other countries and it failed to carry out its mission.
Israel imposed a complete air, ground, and naval blockade on the Gaza Strip back in 2007. The blockade has caused a serious decline in the standard of living, unprecedented levels of unemployment and unrelenting poverty.
Tel Aviv has also carried out a number of deadly wars against Gaza, leaving a trail of death and destruction there ever since.

Syrian Grand Mufti: Murderers of Palestinians, behind killing of Syria and Yemeni nation

Syrian grand Mufti stressed that supporters of terrorism in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and other Islamic countries are the same murderers of Palestinian nation during all these years.
Sheikh Ahmad Badr el Din Hassoun, top Syrian Sunni cleric said those who kill our children in Syria, Yemen, Libya and Iraq will soon find that their supporters are those who have been killing out Palestinian brothers and those who wanted to disintegrate our Islamic nation from within, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to the time when domestic clashes in Lebanon ended in division of the country into four parts and praised Syria for putting an end to the clashes.
Syrian grand Mufti addressed the supporters of terrorists in war torn Arab countries and noted,” I do not recognize the US to be responsible for the killing of the people in Arab states rather it is Arab rulers who are the main agents behind these killings. It is these rulers who have sold their religion and their nation for their throne.”
“Those who have not moved a finger to save Al Quds and called the war in Gaza and Southern Lebanon as an adventure are the killers of Yemeni children.” Said the Sunni scholar and demanded,” Where the weapons used to kill Yemeni people come from? They are all bought with the Arab funds.”
He also addressed Arab rulers, Arab League (AL) and members of the Organization of Islamic cooperation (OIC) asking if they have made the least move for the war torn Arab countries.
Badr el Din Hassoun referred that the current situation in Syria has surprised all and said,” Syria is a great shame for the Arab rulers since they have been shouting the topple of Syria since 2011 while Syrian government is still in power.”
“Here I address all those who are in full security in Istanbul, Riyadh and Doha hotels only holding conferences that do not you intend to be ashamed that your terrorist puppets only flee the citizens when they enter a city.” Noted the scholar and added,” People take shelter in the state run cities. Do not you claim that the Syrian government is an oppressor? Then what is the reason that Syrian citizens take refugee around the army and in state run cities? If you are just then people should have escaped from the army and took shelter with you.”

Palestinians to send first file against Israel to ICC

Palestinian officials are planning to submit their first file to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to open criminal proceedings against the Israeli regime.
The file will be sent to the ICC chief prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda, on June 25, and will focus on the violations of international law by Israel, Palestinian Foreign Ministry official, Ammar Hijazi, told reporters in the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah on Thursday.
The move is part of Palestinians’ attempt against the Tel Aviv regime and the crimes it has committed against Palestinian territories, including crimes committed during the latest Israeli war on the besieged Gaza Strip last year.
The file is “only general, it’s only statistical,” Hijazi said, adding, “But it certainly draws a grim picture of what Israel is doing and why we think that there are reasonable grounds… for the prosecutor to start (her) investigations.”
He further noted that Palestinian officials would submit the details of specific incidents if Bensouda decides to proceed with inquiries.
Bensouda’s office has already launched a preliminary examination into the crimes that took place since June 2014, when an Israeli-fueled unrest led to another war between Israel and the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Authority officially joined the ICC on April 1, becoming the 123rd member of The Hague-based court.
The Palestinian decision to join the ICC was made in January after decades of negotiations with Israel failed to put an end to Tel Aviv’s policy of expanding illegal settlements on the occupied Palestinian lands.
Israel started its latest war on the Gaza Strip in early July last year. The offensive ended on August 26, 2014 with a truce that took effect through indirect negotiations in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
Nearly 2,200 Palestinians, including more than 500 children, were killed in Israel’s 50-day onslaught. Over 11,100 people were also injured.

Inhuman zionist sniper records, celebrates killing unarmed Palestinian

A video has appeared on the Internet, reportedly showing an Israeli sniper gunning down an unarmed Palestinian in the occupied West Bank and then rejoicing for capturing the brutal shooting on tape.
“Got it! Wow, got it. Got video too,” the sniper yells out in Hebrew after what appears to be a kill shot in the West Bank village of Silwad. The Israeli soldier is shown aiming at the faraway victim, who collapses following a single gunshot.
According to Israeli website Mako, the soldier in the video belongs to the same Israeli military unit whose members were reportedly caught on video brutally beating and arresting a Palestinian man from Jalazone refugee camp near the West Bank city of Ramallah last week.
“The shooting was done with permission by the sector commanders after the suspect threw an incendiary device and stones at the forces on the spot. The shooting was filmed as part of the instructions of the commanders in the sector for documentation and verification,” an Israeli military spokesman claimed.
This is while the victim in the short shooting video appears to be standing still, without being involved in any sort of confrontation.
The Israeli website also interviews an unidentified “veteran colonel” of the Israeli military who commented on the video on condition of anonymity, saying, “the target (the shooting victim) is not threatening the forces in the field in a manner that requires operating the sniper, not according to military procedures.”
He added, “It is customary to put snipers at controlling points and they have a very specific role: to locate and destroy an armed person who threatens the forces, if such a person appears among the demonstrators, or take out of commission a demonstrator who presents a clear threat and endangers the life of forces in the field… unfortunately, it does not look like that in the situation in the film in question.”
He also raised concern over the negative impact of such videos on the Israeli military’s public image, adding, “The trickling of such materials to the Internet is especially serious.”

Protesters Pray before Israeli Embassy in Ankara in Protest of Gaza-flotilla Raid

A group of people from prayed before the Israeli ambassador’s house in Ankara early May 31 on the fifth anniversary of Israel’s 2010 raid on the “Mavi Marmara,” a Gaza-bound flotilla ship.
A group of people from Konya also prayed the morning prayer on May 31 before the house of Israel’s ambassador to Ankara, according to the Anadolu agency.
The group was on their way to Istanbul for the “Free Jerusalem March” which will be held at 5 p.m. on May 31, before the Fatih Mosque located on the city’s historic peninsula.
In May 2010, Israeli commandos killed nine Turkish nationals and an American of Turkish origin in a raid on the Mavi Marmara, which was part of the “Gaza Freedom Flotilla.” Another person died in a Turkish hospital in 2014 after being in a coma for almost four years.

Syria at forefront of resistance against israel: Larijani

Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani has reiterated the Islamic Republic’s support for Syria in fighting terrorism, also saying Damascus is at the forefront of resistance against the Israeli regime.
Larijani made the remarks at a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart Mohammad Jihad al-Laham in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Monday.
The top Iranian parliamentarian also lauded the resistance of the Syrian nation against terrorism, saying that Syrian people have managed, to a great extent, to foil the plots hatched by the “adventurous” terrorists through steadfastness.
Syria has been beset by a deadly crisis since March 2011. The ongoing militancy has reportedly claimed the lives of over 222,000 people. Many western countries and their regional allies specially Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey are among supporters of the militants fighting the Syrian government.

Zionist israeli troops attack Palestinian demos in West Bank

A series of clashes have broken out when Israeli forces attacked separate groups of Palestinians protesting across the occupied West Bank and used violent means to disperse the crowds.
On Friday, Palestinians held massive rallies in the villages of Bil’in and Kfar Qaddum to express their anger over the ongoing Israeli settlement building and the apartheid wall.
The protesters, including Palestinians and international peace activists, chanted slogans against the expropriation and the confiscation of Palestinian land by Israel.
Witnesses said that the demonstrations were largely peaceful until Israeli forces assaulted the protesters and used water cannons, rubber-coated bullets, and teargas canisters to break up the protest. The protesters pelted stones at Israeli forces in return.

The demonstrators also denounced a series of brutal wars waged by Israel on the besieged Gaza strip.
This comes as United Nations is seeking to put the Israeli military on its blacklist over the regime’s aggressive policies against the Palestinian people, particularly children.
The move is recently recommended by Leila Zerrougui, the UN secretary general’s special representative for children and armed conflict.
Zerrougui has said such an act must be taken because of more than 500 Palestinian children who were killed and 3,300 others who were injured during last summer’s Israeli aggression against the blockaded Palestinian enclave.

Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, has published Friday a new video documenting the targeting and bombing of an Israeli Merkava 4 tank east of Khan Younis in 2011.
The video shows an Israeli Merkava 4 tank while rolling into Palestinian lands east of Khan Younis to the south of Gaza Strip along a military bulldozer on July 7, 2011.
The Merkava was directly targeted by a high anti-tank explosive, the video documents.
The Israeli occupation admitted at that time the injury of a number of its soldiers. One of them was seriously injured.

Prisoner Ahmed Maghrebi enters his 14th year in prison

Palestinian prisoner Ahmed al-Maghrebi, from al-Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, has completed his 13 year and entered his 14th year in Israeli jails.
Maghrebi, who has been in detention since 2002, was sentenced to life 18 times on charges of leading resistance activities against Israel during the Aqsa Intifada and killing 18 Israelis.
The prisoner, who spent 12 years in solitary confinement, was also indicted recently for the killing of Jewish American citizens.
