Israeli Navy ships opened fire, on Wednesday morning, on several
Palestinian fishing boats in Gaza territorial waters, near the Beit
Lahia shore, in the northern part of the coastal region.
Eyewitnesses said the navy opened sporadic fire on several boats, causing damage but no injuries.
The fishers had to sail back to shore to avoid further Israeli fire.
On Monday, Israeli navy conducted three separate attacks targeting
Palestinian fishing boats near Gaza shoreline injuring three men, two
during Monday hours, and one in the evening.
The navy conducts daily attacks and violations against Palestinian
fishers, and their boats, in Gaza territorial waters, and even while on
shore, in direct violation of the Oslo agreement, and the latest
ceasefire deal mediated by Egypt following Israel’s aggression on the
coastal region in the summer of 2014.
